We produce all of our own tools at our North Carolina manufacturing plant, which operates under all applicable U.S. labor and environmental regulations. When John Pickett Council founded this company in 1886, he did so because he was dissatisfied with the quality of turpentine harvesting tools available at the time. He began making his own tools, and, as word spread about his tool’s superior VALUE, he found himself in the tool making business. While mindful of the need to change with the times, we also believe that some things should remain constant. Our founder had a simple set of beliefs that he felt was necessary for success.
